Dialogue with MP Radu Marian at the ADEPT School
On 14 May, the ADEPT School of Young Political Leaders hosted a discussion with Radu Marian, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and Vice-President of the Party of Action and Solidarity. The meeting gave participants an opportunity to better understand how an electoral mandate is translated into public decisions and what responsibilities come with governing.
Winning elections is only the beginning of a far more difficult political exercise: governing. Participants in the ADEPT School of Young Political Leaders discussed with Radu Marian what it means to turn public trust and electoral support into decisions that affect society.
The discussion focused on the work of PAS, the challenges of governing, and the way a political party is built in a complex domestic and regional context. Radu Marian spoke about the responsibility behind political decisions, the solutions proposed for Moldova’s economic and social challenges, and European integration as a strategic direction for the country’s future.
The questions raised by participants showed that young people do not see politics only through the lens of election campaigns. They were interested in how decisions are made, how government priorities are explained, and what it means, in practice, to assume responsibility for decisions that affect people’s lives.
The ADEPT School of Young Political Leaders provides a space where young people can ask difficult questions and understand that politics is not limited to well-crafted messages or public positions. Behind every decision there are calculations, limits and consequences that, sooner or later, reach people’s everyday lives. For a young person interested in public life, this is one of the most important lessons: politics may begin with opinions, but it is measured by the responsibility of the decisions taken.
